What is PDF
PDF stands for Portable Document Format. This file format allows users to view and print highly complex documents that retain their original formatting. These files are commonly used for publications that are not easily translated into HTML.
Joe Hall Elementary uses PDF files to enhance the usability of our school calendars, newsletter, and other related school forms. PDF helps to make documents more easily distributable, and allows users multiple formats for documents.
To save PDF files to your computer, right-click the link, then choose "Save Target As." Or, just double-click and it will open in your browser window.
Adobe Acrobat Reader is offered free by Adobe Systems. Reader allows users to view and print highly complex documents that retain their original formatting by using the PDF format.
You can download the FREE Acrobat Reader from Adobe's site.
